Stop dirt at the door

It is a recognised fact that 70-80% of interior soiling enters buildings via foot traffic. Appropriate entrance mats that are themselves cleaned regularly will limit the amount of grit and soil that is tracked through a building and across the floor, limiting wear and staining.

Regular mopping helps to prevent dirt from building up and sticking to the floor surface which saves cleaners an unpleasant task later on. Hardened, built up dirt makes cleaning more difficult and takes greater effort to get rid of. Some responsive cleaning is likely to be required during the day and it will be essential to minimise disruption and avoid slip risks to pedestrians from wet floors.
